Chief Executive Officer - Gregory S. Richmond
Greg Richmond, CEO and founder of Royal Group Services Limited, LLC has been a critical influence in the company’s development of strategic insurance products which provide risk transfer solutions for card issuing and card acquiring business units of financial institutions. Greg has a comprehensive understanding of the payments industry from both a domestic and international prospective in his dealings with financial institutions throughout the world over the past decade. Greg’s broad knowledge of the payments industry has afforded him such notable clients as JPMorgan, ABN Amro, Royal Bank of Scotland, MasterCard and a number of large regional banks. Greg is currently CEO/President of Royal Group Services Limited, LLC and Doeren Mayhew Risk Management LLC.

Greg has over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry and holds Property & Casualty, Life & Health Surplus Lines and Counselor’s license. Previously Greg has served as President of Royal Underwriters, Inc. where he began his career in 1980 to 2001, then President of Doeren Mayhew Risk Management from 2001 to the present. Greg is currently serving as CEO of Royal Group Services Limited LLC where he is focused on developing insurance products to assist financial institutions with their risk management of their credit card divisions. He is also President of Doeren Mayhew Risk Management where he provides insurance products to assist clients with employee benefits and property and casualty products throughout the country.


President - Robert Halsey
Robert Halsey is a founder and the president of Royal Group Services. Before founding RGS, Mr. Halsey served as a senior executive for Ideal Technology Solutions, LDMI, and Wise Solutions, all of which were later acquired by public companies for a combined total of $75 million. His track record includes successful corporate reorganizations and consolidations, building business units, creating start-ups, and turning around struggling enterprises. Mr. Halsey also has considerable experience in building business relationships and managing sales and operations in both Europe and Asia. His most recent role was as president of Omnex, Inc., an international operational consulting and software company. While at Omnex, Mr. Halsey oversaw global business operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, Thailand, Germany, and India. Under his leadership, Omnex enjoyed 40% growth, diversified its customer base from 80% automotive to 55% non-automotive, and opened an office in Germany.

In addition, Mr. Halsey has been active in public service. He worked as an aide to former Michigan governor John Engler, serving as both the Director of Local Government Affairs and as the Associate Director of the Southeastern Michigan Office of the Governor.

Mr. Halsey earned his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in political theory from Michigan State University. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association and the founder of the Southeast Michigan Breakfast Roundtable.


Vice President Business Development - Scott Stangeland
Scott Stangeland is co-founder of Royal Group Services. Mr. Stangeland specializes in government affairs and developing new business opportunities and strategic relationships for RGS. He maintains an extensive national business and political network to cultivate and grow business opportunities for current and emerging clients.

Mr. Stangeland also has extensive direct lobbying and public relations experience at the Federal, state and local levels, specializing in transportation, trade, healthcare, homeland security, financial services, and electronic payments.

During his career, Mr. Stangeland has successfully brought together many business leaders and Federal and state government officials to help craft and develop numerous policy programs. For example, he has emerged as a key advocate for the venture capital and private equity industry in the Midwest by facilitating the formation of the Michigan Venture Capital Association. Due to his extensive knowledge and experience in the consumer lending and electronic payments industry, Mr. Stangeland was recently selected as a member of the Electronic Transaction Association Government Relations Committee.

From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Stangeland served under President George H. W. Bush as part of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel. He also served as an aide to the Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Stangeland was Michigan Governor John Engler's Administrative Assistant traveling with the Governor and coordinating all of his daily activities, providing Mr. Stangeland with a working knowledge of political decision-making at the highest level state government. Mr. Stangeland still enjoys a network of relationships that extends to many states and the Federal Government that culminated from his service to the Governor.
 

Harold Kelly - Director of Sales and Marketing
Over the last 26 years, Harold has specialized in the successful engineering and construction of start-up situations within the financial services sector.  Before joining RGS, he was President of NetInsurance, an affiliate of NetBank, Inc., where he was nationally responsible for developing, executing and managing insurance sales strategies for a start-up internet bank.  Previously, Harold was a Vice President within Marsh BancAssurance Group, then a division of the Marsh & McLennan companies. There, he was responsible for identifying and assisting banks that wanted to begin, expand, diversify or complement their insurance sales and agency activities.

Beginning his career in New York City, he served in the Marketing Department for the New York Bank for Savings and later as assistant to the NY Division President of Goldome Savings Bank. Later joining Commercial Bancshares, a multi-billion dollar bank holding company located in New Jersey, he served as Vice President of Advertising and Public Relations.

After their acquisition by United Jersey Bank, Harold was charged with building out a financial services unit from a staff of 6 salespeople in one state, into a program that would employ over 100 financial services associates in two states, with 6 regional managers and an operations staff of 20. His responsibilities included marketing, sales management, administration and operations support for a department producing over $290 million in gross sales, annually.

Harold holds a dual-major MBA from Fordham University and a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of South Carolina.
